Fire rated glass Fire rated glass is used in many types of fireplace doors. It is typically heat resistant to about 400-500ºF. If you have a wood stove or a gas fireplace, you may need to look at using Neoceram, which are much more heat resistant. However, for a regular fireplace where the doors are a safe distance from the flame and the temperature will not exceed 400-500ºF, tempered glass is a safe and economical choice for your fireplace glass doors.
Neoceram glass has 5 mm thickness and transparent-amber tint, and support continuous temperatures up to 700ºC (1470ºF). It is the ideal solution for many wood stoves and fireplaces where glass panels are less than 6 inches from the flames.
Tanic Inc. glass can provide tempered, and Neoceram for your fire place or wood stove.
